R-32, also known as Difluoromethane (CH₂F₂), is a single-component HFC refrigerant widely used in modern air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It offers excellent heat transfer properties, improved energy efficiency, and lower refrigerant charge requirements compared to conventional refrigerants.

With a significantly lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) than refrigerants such as R-22 and R-410A, R-32 is considered a more environmentally responsible solution for residential and commercial cooling applications. Its high cooling capacity and efficient performance make it suitable for inverter air conditioners, fixed-speed AC units, heat pumps, dehumidifiers, and cryogenic refrigeration systems.

R-32 has been extensively used as a component in R-410A and R-407 series blends and is now increasingly adopted as an independent refrigerant in next-generation cooling systems.
